Office of the Navajo President/Vice President co-hosts film premier recognizing life work of Navajo ballet dancer

WINDOW ROCK, Ariz. – The Navajo Nation Office of the President and Vice President will co-host the local screening of Water Flowing Together, a documentary film about Navajo/Puerto Rican ballet dancer Jock Soto.

The screening will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Navajo Nation Museum auditorium.

“It is great that this film is going to premiere on Navajoland, and it is with a good notion that Navajo people have a role model like Jock,” Vice President Shelly said. “I am going to be there because I support his efforts to inspire this generation with a different culture outside the Nation, while continuing to maintain our own Navajo tradition.”
